The SQUEEZE: We often believe that in making decisions we do so on a rational level, but Kevin Hogan and James Speakman suggest otherwise in Covert Persuasion: Psychological Tactics and Tricks to Win the Game. Hogan and Speakman believe that we make decisions on a subconscious level, basing the totality of our decisions on feelings. Hogan and Speakman believe that managing subconscious feelings is the key to the art of persuasion. The authors teach the reader how both to observe, predict, and direct human behavior by using the right words and the proper body language. In other words, Covert Persuasion teaches the reader how to convince people to buy a product, contribute to a cause, and/or vote for a candidate. The authors synthesize the latest research in psychology, sales tactics, and human communication to provide examples of comprehensive, but focused methods for persuading anyone.
Notable Endorsement: “This book is a treasure trove of ideas you can use to turn a 'no' into a 'yes' almost instantly-in any sales situation.”- -Brian Tracy, speaker and author of Create Your Own Future and Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life
