About the Author: Charles D. Ellis is a recognized expert on the subject of investment management. Ellis served as managing partner for Greenwich Associates for thirty years; the organization offers strategy consultant solutions to the investment industry. Ellis has taught investment management courses at both the Yale School of Management and the Harvard Business School. Ellis also served as chair of the CFA Institute. His current activities include serving as Director of Vanguard, advising investment institutions, and chairing investment committees.
