About the Author: A renowned author, reporter, and journalist, Thomas L. Friedman is the recipient of three Pulitzer Prizes and the author of five bestsellers. Born in Minneapolis in 1953, Friedman joined The New York Times as an international reporter. Friedman published multiple titles, which include The World is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century (2005); and The Lexus and the Olive Tree: Understanding Globalization (1999). Friedman graduated from Brandeis University in 1975, majoring in Mediterranean Studies.
